ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a competent and dedicated Career Services Advisor to join our team at Anderson College’s North York Campus. The ideal candidate will be working with mature students and must be passionate in helping them achieve their goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Prospecting and Building relationships with graduate employers and practicum employers.
  • Employer Caseload Development.
  • Delivering inspiring workshops to all students.
  • Being involved in classroom visits and one-on-one appointments to support the student’s employment needs.
  • Maintaining high levels of satisfaction with graduates and employers.
  • Participating in job fairs, career fairs, outreach activities, and employer meetings as required.
  • Delivering a minimum of two Career Fairs per year with a minimum of 10 employers per event at an Anderson College location or outside location.
  • Inviting employers on-site to interview and conduct information sessions. Every effort should be made to ensure one employer session occurs each month per location.
  • Working closely with current students and alumni and providing resources to support their job search needs.
  • Delivering high-level customer service to all past, current, and potential clients.
  • Maintaining employment confirmations and reporting graduates’ documentation, per compliance regulations.
  • Recording all career services activities in our database, including, but not limited to, employer partners, job leads, and daily activities.
  • Maintaining high-level customer service to all campus team members.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Medical Esthetician Instructor who is passionate about the beauty industry and skincare to mentor aspiring Medical Estheticians. The successful candidate must be comfortable with in-campus classes, working with students and providing practical training at Anderson College – Downtown Campus.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Observe students to determine qualifications, limitations, abilities, interests, and other individual characteristics
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives effectively to students
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs, abilities, and interests
  • Prepare students for further education by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks
  • Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities in advance

About the Role

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The instructor will guide, coach, and support students to be successful in their healthcare careers. The instructor will be responsible for creating an effective adult learning environment and teaching the curriculum as outlined by the college.

Academic

  • Ensure students are being taught following the approved curriculum
  • Foster an environment of cooperation and coordination among instructional staff.
  • Participate in the student appeal process when required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Massage Therapist in Good Standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working as a massage therapist
  • Experience teaching adults is considered an asset

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our administration team as a Financial Aid Officer for our North York Campus. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping mature students achieve their goals, detail-oriented, and have strong customer service skills. Please note that this is a fully in-campus role.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to student inquiries regarding financial status
  • Provide comprehensive, timely services to all students and exceptional customer service at all times
  • Set up tuition payment arrangements and contact students to collect outstanding balances to keep their accounts current
  • Conduct preliminary financing interviews with new students
  • Participate in all Ministry-sponsored financial assistance program training. Learn and maintain current knowledge of Federal and Provincial regulations pertaining to financial aid
  • Provide accurate information and advise students on financial aid eligibility and various financial aid programs (training provided)
  • Assist students in understanding and successfully managing their loan obligations (training provided)

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business or finance from an accredited educational institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience within the Private Career College industry is an asset
  • Strong orientation towards high-volume, fast-paced, time-sensitive business operations
  • Successful in maintaining exemplary customer service levels
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently within a team environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a competent and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) Hybrid, Instructor to join our team at Anderson College’s London location. The ideal candidate will have previous experience teaching adults and be passionate about helping mature students achieve their goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

The instructor will guide, coach, and support students to be successful in their healthcare career. The PSW Instructor will be responsible for creating an effective adult learning environment and teaching the curriculum as outlined by the college and in adherence with the NACC competencies.

Academic

  • Ensure students are being taught following the approved curriculum (training will be provided)
  • Foster an environment of cooperation and coordination among instructional staff
  • Participate in the student appeal process when required

Administrative

  • Assist with tracking student hours following college procedures
  • Attend graduation ceremonies
  • Implement and follow the policies and procedures established by the college
  • Participate in meetings with staff when required
  • Participate in student orientations
  • Maintain proper records of student meetings
  • Submit monthly reports to the Program Coordinator following Accreditation standards

Instructional

  • Teach students using a systematic plan that consists of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, interactive activities, independent and group projects

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, coach and support students through a commitment of educational excellence and passion in MLA disciplines

  • Develop, supervise and evaluate practical skills
  • Maintain laboratory protocols and equipment
