About the role
We are seeking a Medical Esthetician Instructor who is passionate about the beauty industry and skincare to mentor aspiring Medical Estheticians. The successful candidate must be comfortable with an in-person position, working with students and providing practical training at Anderson College – Mississauga (Hurontario) Campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Observe students to determine qualifications, limitations, abilities, interests, and other individual characteristics
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives effectively to students
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs, abilities, and interests
- Prepare students for further education by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks
- Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities in advance
- Instruct students in groups, using various teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations
- Provide clear, precise, and consistent direction and support to students
- Demonstrate practical lessons in providing all service types, including but not limited to client consultation, sales techniques, skin analysis, facials (all types), manicures, pedicures, massage, body treatments, waxing, makeup, temporary lash extension application, radio frequency, and laser treatments
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must be willing to work as a part of a collaborative and growing team
- Excellent track record in customer service & support
- Exceptional track record in communication, influence, collaboration, and teamwork
- Experience in an environment which requires “out of the box” thinking and solution minded
- Previous training and/or facilitation experience is considered an asset
- Ability to complete tasks effectively with minimal supervision
- Satisfactory CPIC Criminal Background Check and Employment References
- Proven ability to set and achieve goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have experience with Manicure/Pedicures, Waxing, Facials, Massage/ Body Treatments, Makeup Application

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Medical Esthetician Diploma is required
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Medical Esthetician in each area taught in the program
SHIFT SCHEDULES
- Monday to Friday
- The candidate needs to be available for 8 hours daily
- Teach classes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
